Art is at my core as an individual. I chose to pursue graphic design and photography to hopefully build a career out of these fields. As a recent college graduate in 2020, I found myself as a production manager for a small local portrait studio in Erie, PA. Initially, I felt blessed to just have a job in my field. However, I began to realize that it was not the job I wanted long term.

So, I moved down to Pittsburgh to work at another local portrait studio. I found myself feeling as though I was doing everyone else's style of work, not my own. What ended up being my favorite part? Teaching the newcomers. I took this as a sign to pursue education.

Feeling burnt out and ready for a new adventure, I quit my job and began grad school to earn a Master's of Education in Art Education. Through this, I felt my creative side come back to life. I was excited to begin again as an artist, but this time for me and for the students.
